iVenture Accelerator, Week 2

A 9-week pilot program for aspiring student entrepreneurs. One small step for a bigger and brighter future.

After a brief taste of what will come last week, we were asked to decorate the co-working space that we have in Research Park. The space apparently was an old office space of Sony Corporation and later turned into the place that we’re currently working in. All of the teams brought whatever decorations they wanted to bring. Being a creative kid that I am, my team and I went all out and brought everything that we could’ve brought from the dollar store. We had everything from an inflatable dinosaur to a bunch of pool noodles.

This week, we had Ben Cole, a Product Manager from Kickstarter. He talked about the subject of “Empathy & Building Great Products” wherein he shared his experiences traveling to Africa and how he developed products for the locals by understanding their backgrounds, needs and wants.

We also had a representative from Intelligent Medical Objects to share the story behind their company’s success.
